Our mission at Dronamics is to develop innovative solutions for same-day middle-mile logistics and serve the world as the leading cargo drone airline.

We design, build and operate long-range, high payload cargo drones that can carry up to 350 kg (550 lbs) at a distance of up to 2,500 km (1,500 mi) - up to 80% faster, 50% cheaper and with 60% less co2 emissions vs traditional freight.

At first, it didn't sound possible, but we keep proving it is, which is why we've called it “The Black Swan”. It can land on short and unpaved runways, enabling on-demand point-to-point flights and speedy same-day delivery even to the most remote locations that would otherwise take days to reach over ground or sea.

With the successful first flight of our full-scale Black Swan cargo drone, we have achieved a significant
milestone. Now our focus is on scaling up and establishing operations in the first markets in Europe and beyond

The Role

Senior Project Manager (Manufacturing JV) is responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading the set up of the first serial manufacturing facility for our Black Swan aircraft in the UAE. The project scope ranges from site selection and initial setup of the production facility and its supply chain, up to the ramp up to a capacity of 300 aircraft per year. This is a key role at Dronamics and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing multiple moving project parts simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading project planning sessions

• Coordinating people and internal resources

• Managing project / workstream progress and adapt work as required

• Ensuring projects meet deadlines

• Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders

• Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation

• Participating in RFP / tender processes i.e. design, submission, and review

• Designing risk mitigation plans

• Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for the Executive Team

• Optimising and improving processes and project management methodology

• Initiating new projects

• Managing the output of units from external suppliers to meet drone fleet size requirements

Location

This role will be based at our JV facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Skills and Experience 

• Formal project Management qualification or equivalent experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Expertise in creating and managing documentation systems

• Fluent English

• Expert in MS Project or similar software

• High resilience and capacity to manage high-pressure situations

• Ability to multi-task and manage various projects / work streams simultaneously

• Project leadership skills

• Strong ability to influence others including senior management

• Big-picture thinking and vision

• Attention to detail

• Conflict resolution skills

• Experience and track record in setting up manufacturing facilities is a strong plus
