Our Company

Our mission at DRONAMICS is to democratize airfreight and lower the cost of shipping in emerging markets. To achieve this, we developed a new type of cargo airplane, one that is small, remotely-piloted and extremely fuel efficient.


At first, it didn't sound possible, but we keep proving it is, which is why we've called it “The Black Swan”. It can land on short and unpaved runways, enabling on-demand point-to-point flights and speedy same-day delivery even to the most remote locations that would otherwise take days to reach over ground or sea.


With the successful first flight of our full-scale Black Swan cargo drone, we have achieved a significant milestone. This innovative aircraft can transport up to 350 KG over distances of 2,500 KM, all at a cost that is at least 50% lower than traditional airplanes. It operates autonomously, enabling remote monitoring and management through satellite connectivity.


Our initial focus is on establishing domestic air networks in Europe, Australia, and Canada, leveraging underutilized small airfields. We train local personnel as drone and logistics operators while fostering partnerships with local industries. This collaboration allows us to provide vital support by facilitating the swift movement of goods to and from small, remote, mountainous, and island communities within mere hours, often at a cost lower than that of road transportation. At the core of our vision is the belief that same-day shipping should be a universal right.

Job requirements

Position Summary: The Flight Test Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, execution, and documentation of all flight test activities for our drone platforms. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized professional who can effectively manage multiple test programs simultaneously, ensuring that all flight tests are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Flight Test Planning:


    • Collaborate with engineering teams to define test objectives, parameters, and success criteria for each flight test.
    • Develop detailed flight test plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
    • Coordinate with airspace authorities and obtain necessary permissions and clearances for test flights.
  2. Flight Test Execution:


    • Oversee the preparation of drones, including pre-flight checks and equipment configuration.
    • Manage the logistics of flight test operations, including the coordination of test sites, ground support equipment, and personnel.
    • Supervise flight test teams during test operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and test procedures.
    • Record and monitor test data, documenting any anomalies or issues encountered during flight.
  3. Post-Test Analysis and Reporting:


    • Work closely with engineering teams to analyze flight test data and determine if objectives were met.
    • Prepare detailed flight test reports, including findings, conclusions, and recommendations for further testing or design modifications.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of all flight tests, including documentation of test plans, results, and any corrective actions taken.
  4. Safety and Compliance:


    • Ensure all flight tests are conducted in compliance with internal safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety of personnel, equipment, and the environment.
  5. Continuous Improvement:


    • Review and refine flight test procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that could impact flight testing operations.
    • Provide feedback and recommendations to engineering teams to improve drone designs and flight performance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in flight testing, preferably with drones or unmanned aerial systems.
    • Proven track record of successfully coordinating and executing complex flight test programs.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and UAS technologies.
    • Proficient in the use of flight planning and data analysis software.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to drone operations (e.g., FAA, EASA, CAA).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to coordinate cross-functional teams.
    • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., FAA Part 107, Safety Management System certification) are a plus.

Work Environment:

  • May require travel to test sites, which can include remote locations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions during flight tests.
