Job requirements
Position Summary:
Reporting the Engineering Director, the Engineering Document Configuration Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining the document control system for the Design Organisation (DO) and ensuring documents are correctly approved prior to issue. This will include both hard and soft copies of engineering files and working across multiple databases and engineering systems.
Key Responsibilities:
The Engineering Document Configuration controller will be required to:
- Take ownership of and maintain the Engineering Document Register
- Assigning document numbers and completing the database with all relevant information
- Maintaining the up issue of all documents
- Managing and maintain the Technical Query (TQ) database, including:
- Checking forms for completeness and quality of information
- Ensuring timelines are met for responses
- Ensuring the TQ’s are correctly completed and actioned
- Controlling the Engineering Document approval process
- Managing and controlling the information provided and released to external parties
- Logging and circulating all engineering information received
- Logging and releasing DO information required to be issued to third parties
- Controlling and maintaining the Released Engineering Documents folders
- Checking all documents are complete and ready for issue against compliance checklists
- Ensuring all documents are correctly approved
- Circulating release information to defined lists
- Archiving outdated information
- Preparing reports as required to support internal and external audits

This role requires constant presence in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Qualifications:
The Engineering Document Configuration controller must:
- Have good administration skills
- Be thorough and pay attention to detail
- Be computer literate
- Be familiar with creating and managing databases
- Be self starter/highly motivated and capable of working on own initiative
- Be capable of working remotely
- Have good communication skills
- Ideally have 3 years experience in a similar role
